Accommodation
We have uploaded the accommodation plan will comment on each as we go.
We have graded the accomodation based on 5 criteria
Day 1 - Auberge Tisserand nr Danmarie. Clean simple twin room with an excellent hot shower. Evening meal was outstanding; we had vegtable soup, followed by a local specialty a thin crust flatbread with cheesy sauce and a variety of toppings. Breakfast was a simple platter of local cheeses and meats, bread and pastries. Hosts were helpful and polite. Booked through Booking.com.
Day 2 - Theire & Couverts - Les Chambres, Cernay. Excellent accomodation, bath and shower, well stocked kitchenette with hot drinks etc. Breakfast was excellent. The only downsdide is this hotel is right next to the church, which has very loud bell. Booked through Booking.com.
Day 3 - Le Mouton Noir nr Linthall. An excellent B&B, evening meal not provided but host did offer in pizza. Accomodation was clean, another 'bath' but no shower. Tea and coffe facilities provides and a very good breakfast. Booked through Booking.com.
Day 4 - 2 Rue du Pont Air B&B, Munster. Accomoodation was poor and not clean. No ammenities provided, not even a kettle. Evening meal and breakfast not included or offered. Generally poor especially considering it cost 89 Euros Booked through AirB&B.com
Day 5 - Logis Hotel de la Poste, Le Bonhomme. Good, clean basic accomodation (similar to a travel lodge). Evening meal was excellent (large portions) and breakfast was very good. Host speaks fluent English and the hotel has a sauna and pool. Booked through Booking.com.
Day 6 - Acconat - Domain de Moulin (8 Gites) Buorros Ban de Sapt. Basic but excellent accomodation. Host were fanatastic. They do not normally cater for single night stays but offered us an evening meal and breakfast for an additional 15 Euros. Both of which were excellent. Well worth staying here.
Day 7 - Logis Hotel du Lac, Cellos sur le Plaine. Good accomodation, a liitle tired but clean. Tea and coffe provided in the room. Evening meal was excellent, but a liitle 'pricey'. Very good breakfast. Host speaks English and is very helpful.
Day 8 - YS Lounge and Bar, Badonviller. For 49 Euros you get what you pay for. The evening meal was unepectedly good, however the room and the bed were small (the bed was not designed for 6ft people, resembling some kind of medievel torture device, as it was about 3 inches too short). Don't stay here on a Saturday night unless you like hearing merry Frenchmen murdering 80's classics into the wee small hours.
